My first blog

This is my first blog. I would like to share some of my thoughts with you in this post of mine.
Its very interesting that in Life you can find many Paradoxes. It is really interesting to observe them. One such paradox is if God can remove all the suffering in the world,Why there is suffering in the world in the first place. However,I wish to look at a different Paradox in this blog of mine. This one unlike others evokes a lot of thinking in me. Lets take two people. One a very poor farmer who finds it very difficult to make his both ends meet. He is so poor that he cannot afford second meal in a day. The other one is this guy who is stinking rich. The one that we see in movies, who doesnt know what poverty is...for that matter doesn't know that there is poverty in this world. One fine day a common friend of both invites them to his house and offers a meal. The poor guy is extremely happy that he could get his second meal that day. The rich guy feels that the food tastes very bad and feels very sorry that he missed good food that day. He is sad.
Two people react to the same event in quite different way. One is happy. Other is sad. The emotions of a person are always relative to his experiences. Every person in life has his own moments of joy and sorrow. Many a time we pity others and feel that we are leading better life than them. But if we think carefully,we may be suffering more than him. We may have left our passion just in a mad run for money, while the other guy is finding joy in pursuing his passion. We may think that we are leading a happy life, restricting ourselves in a comfort zone. Never even bother to come out of it to risk our so called "Happiness". Well, This is what goes in my mind so often. I am not sure if I am right in thinking this way. But would love to know if anyone has different ideas. Comments are welcome!!!!

  1. yes rohit..!! u r true.. few(or is it most)of us have come to iit not only for its fame but the high paying jobs that we would get after passing out, leaving our actual passions.
where would the "road not taken" have taken us? are we really happy now? will we regret looking at our past and realizing that our actual passion was something else? .. only time can answer these..
but a good way to start off ur blog.. Happy Blogging..! :D

  6. Nice one Rohit... good way to start a blog. Cool title. :)
Hey... I just remembered Mary teacher(English) of SKTS while reading this blog. I first encountered this word 'paradox' in her class.

I don't think God is the reason for the suffering or the pleasure in this world. We ourselves think that being wealthy is happiness and being poor is sadness. So are all the paradoxes. God definitely did not create suffering and surely won't eliminate it. Suffering or happiness is subjective and it is in our minds. The wealthy person doesn't have to be sad at poor food. Happiness or suffering doesn't come with the world. It comes only with the mind.
It is in our hands to be happy or sad. Find happiness, "Near".
Once again congrats on starting the blog. Nice endeavor.
    :)
